Methodology
Remediation by Enhanced Natural Attenuation (RENA) using Nutroil NP-5 Soil Nutrients.
Recovery of liquid hydrocarbon waste using oil containment booms for containment and removal of free-phase contaminants.
Challenges
Managing varying contamination levels.
Complex site conditions.
Heavy rainfall leading to flooding and difficult equipment deployment.
Maintaining safe and compliant field operations.
Achievements
Successfully completed remediation of the hydrocarbon-impacted site.
Completed landscaping and full site restoration.
Site inspected and approved by the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) for agricultural use.
Land returned to the host community for sustainable farming and livelihood restoration.
